I'm embarking on adventure. Yes, I'm setting myself up for enormous failure or a brighter future. I've packed my studios and household, oh my goodness, and put in storage. I'm driving across country and spending a semester in college in Orange County, CA. I won't be making art this Spring but if my class waiting list status is upgraded, I'll be studying, looking for a job and a studio apartment while enjoying plenty of sunshine.
I could write a book about my last five weeks. Instead I'll just mention one tidbit. You know the great scarves from my last post, they (and my bamboo socks) were stolen from my I-thought-it-was-locked car while parked in my drive on December 24. My entire handmade art inventory of $2500 disappeared in a single minute in broad daylight. With me moving, there'd be no replacing it for at least 6-8 months. Insurance, you ask. That's part of the book I'm not going to write, but no.
Soooo, while I won't be blogging about making art for at least the first half of this year, I may write about my adventures of a fifteen year dream; living in Southern California. I have a few UFO projects I'm taking so they may show up here.
I've learned a lot in this process and know I'm putting myself in a place of even more discovery. Let the adventure begin.
Happy creating,
Bobbie

What a shame about your beautiful scarves. You must be heartbroken. Good luck on your new endeavors. It sounds very exciting.
Thanks much, Norma!
