Today, I opened a Facebook business page. There's much I have to learn about it yet and final decisions still to come...what picture to put up as a logo...what to name the page for good internet search results (my business name [Touch of the Master's Hand] or my personal name or a combo of the two [Bobbie WV's Touched))... So if you have helpful suggestions, PLEASE share with me.
One thing I've been contemplating for a couple of years is to modify my name in the business world. Why? I always have a reason but let's move on. Since I've gone by my personal name of Bobbie Vance from the beginning of my textile endeavors, my legal business name is seldom known. People do web searches for me by Bobbie Vance for my textiles, other art, my custom thermofax screens and teaching. But as I build from my past to enlarge my future, I want to drop my last name and go by Bobbie WV. I googled 'Bobbie WV' and got many Bobbie's in West Virginia, lol, so I've more thinking to do.
In the meantime, begin to visit my FB page. I'll keep it updated with my newest creations that are for sale. Depending on the next phase of life with a full time job and more college classes, I can't foresee how much or often I'll produce work but I will, yes, I will. And if I change the name of my FB biz page, just google one of the fore-mentioned names or go to FB and search there.
I'm off to study for a Modern Art History test.
